Money Back

14-day money-back guarantee on your first purchase

Full refund

If Spctre Cloud is not right for you, request a refund within 14 days of your first subscription payment and we will refund it in full. You do not need to give a reason, and you do not need to have stopped using the product first.

What the guarantee covers

  • Your first payment for a Team or Business subscription, monthly or annual, refunded in full.
  • A charge you did not intend — a duplicate payment, or a plan bought on the wrong billing period. Tell us and we will correct it rather than hold you to the window.
  • A platform defect that prevents governed operation and that we cannot resolve for you. This is not limited to 14 days; see Terms of Service for the scope of the service commitment.

What it does not cover

  • Renewal payments. The guarantee applies to your first payment on a subscription. Cancel before a renewal date to avoid the next charge — see below.
  • Usage already metered. Where a plan meters usage beyond its included capacity, charges for governed events we have already evaluated, recorded, and retained as evidence are for a service already delivered, and are not refundable.
  • Enterprise agreements. Invoiced or contracted Enterprise terms are governed by the signed order form, which takes precedence over this page.

The self-hosted Community edition is free and open source under Apache 2.0. There is no payment to refund, and the hosted trial is capacity-limited rather than time-limited — nothing is charged until you choose a paid plan.

Subscriptions

Cancellation and renewals

Cancel anytime

You can cancel a subscription at any time, from the customer portal linked in any Paddle receipt or by emailing us. Cancelling stops future charges; it is not itself a refund request.

What happens when you cancel

  • Access continues to the end of the period you have paid for. A cancelled annual plan runs to the end of its year, and a cancelled monthly plan to the end of its month.
  • No partial refund after the 14-day window. Annual plans are prepaid at a discount against the monthly rate, so unused months are not refunded once the guarantee period has passed. You keep the service you paid for until it expires.
  • Your evidence stays available for the rest of the term, so a governance record can be exported before access ends. Export it before expiry — see Privacy Policy for retention and deletion after an account closes.

Renewals

Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current rate for the plan and billing period you chose, and Paddle emails a receipt for every charge. Cancel at least one day before a renewal date to avoid it. If a renewal is charged after you meant to cancel, contact us — we would rather resolve it than have you dispute it with your bank.

Process

How to request a refund

Buyer support

Email support@spctre.dev from the address on the order, or use the support link in your Paddle receipt. Include the receipt or order reference so we can find the transaction. Either route reaches a person; you do not need an account in the app to ask.

What happens next

  1. We confirm we received it, normally within one business day.
  2. Paddle processes the refund. Paddle.com is the merchant of record for every Spctre Cloud purchase, so the charge on your statement is Paddle's and the refund is issued by Paddle back to the original payment method.
  3. Your bank posts it. How long that takes is set by your card issuer or bank, not by us.

You can also request a refund directly from Paddle, who can act on it independently of us: use the "Request refund" option at paddle.net or the links in your receipt. Paddle's own Refund Policy and Buyer Terms apply to the transaction alongside this page.

Consumer Law

Your statutory rights are never reduced

Non-waivable

Nothing on this page limits a right you have under the consumer law that applies to you. Several jurisdictions — including the EU, EEA, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom — give consumers a statutory right to withdraw from a distance purchase within a set period, and other countries set their own window. Where such a right applies, it applies in full.

Where this policy and your statutory rights differ, the more generous of the two governs. That is also how our merchant of record operates: Paddle's Refund Policy states that where local consumer protection law or a supplier provides additional or non-waivable rights, the highest level of rights always applies.

Before you dispute a charge

If something looks wrong, email support@spctre.dev first. A chargeback filed with your bank takes the transaction out of our hands and into a dispute process run by Paddle and the card networks, which is slower for you than a refund we can simply issue.

Who you are contracting with

Spctre Cloud is operated by Ciwrl Technologies LLC d/b/a Spctre. Payments are collected by Paddle.com Market Limited as merchant of record and reseller. Questions about this policy: support@spctre.dev.
